What's the difference between our mini-workshops & glassblowing classes?

Glassblowing always takes a team. In our mini-workshops we handle the difficult part because it wouldn't be safe or possible for you to blow glass with no experience. Fall mini-workshops offer pumpkins & ornaments (you blow through the pipe & learn the process). Spring mini-workshops offer items such as paperweights, flowers, eggs (you shape the solid glass, no blowing). We created mini-workshops as a chance for people of all ages to participate in glassblowing first hand. You get to take home your finished product & the experience of getting to work in a glassblowing studio! You will quickly understand the skill required & that products like these could not be made on your own without many hours of training. We can schedule private mini-workshops for your group of 15 or more at a reduced group rate, otherwise they run only on our schedule posted.

We also offer a full range of classes starting with our Beginner Glassblowing 1 which is 6 hrs of working glassblowing instruction. It's an intensive class with 3 students to 1 instructor (class max is 9). Here we teach you the basics of glassblowing, the focus is on instruction by practicing while learning for the 6 hrs. Becoming a glassblower is all about practice. To be able to make work on your own you must invest the time in a couple 6 hr. classes. The same principle applies to our private lessons which are available for beginners wanting individual instruction or those that have taken our classes and wish to continue privately. If you have no experience & are looking to come in and make finished products private lessons are not where we offer that, mini-workshops are.

That's the difference!
