Beginning & Intermediate One Day Glassblowing Classes Beginner 1: After learning how to properly use glassblowing tools & equipment students will be given basic exercises that will lay the foundation for good glassblowing technique. Working instruction will include practicing basic solid shapes & making a finished beginning blown cylindrical piece. Beginner 2: Practice & strengthen your Beginner 1 skills by creating 3 more finished blown glass pieces. Intermediate: Advance your skills by learning to apply more involved glassblowing & shaping techniques. This level may be repeated as many times as you like, working at your own skill level with your instructor. Our one day classes focus on teaching basic glassblowing skills. Class levels must be taken consecutively unless student has prior experience. Please inquire if you are unsure of your level. Open to ages 14 to adult. Pieces will be ready for pick up 2 days later. Wear cotton long sleeve shirt & pants, closed shoes and bring your lunch. Please read scheduling policy below. Note: once a class date has filled we will post the next class date for that level. We run 3-4 of each class per year, none in Summer. Scheduling policy: Registrations for classes & private lessons are final & non-refundable. If you are unable to attend you may send someone in your place (Beginner 1 only). Sorry, no rescheduling or make up classes offered. Students under 18 must have parent sign permission waiver. FYI: What's the difference between mini-workshops & classes / private instruction?

Private Instruction runs $90/hr which includes studio rental at 1 bench and an instructor. Can be shared by up to 4 people. 2 hr minimum. Read link above for what to expect. Private Group Glassblowing Mini-Workshops are a great way to try glassblowing with friends and co-workers. Perfect for field trips & scout troops! Your group of 12 or more will create a flower, pumpkin, holiday ornament or paperweight, while learning the basic techniques of glassblowing in a short time. Limited to a pace of 5-8 people per hr. Priced per items made. Refreshments may only be brought in by renting our bar area for an additional fee. Catered events require full facility rental (see party rental link below). Glassblowing Studio Time Rental is available to advanced glassblowers only. $65/hr includes all tools and materials except color. 4 hr minimum, can be split by 2 people sharing 1 bench.
